Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for city infrastructure projects
- Operate light equipment such as jackhammers, saws, and pressure washers under supervision
- Assist in roadway maintenance, park upkeep, and storm drain clearing operations
- Ensure proper safety protocols and use of PPE at all times during field activities
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized job site conditions
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards to lead crew members
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines efficiently
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and work collaboratively in team settings
- Previous landscaping/construction experience preferred but not required
