As a Laborer, you will support various divisions including Street Services, Maintenance, and Engineering. You will be instrumental in maintaining the infrastructure, cleanliness, and safety of our streets and public spaces. Responsibilities
- Perform street sweeping, litter collection, and graffiti removal on public roadways.
- Assist with traffic control, flagging, and parking enforcement support.
- Maintain public parks, sidewalks, and landscaping areas to ensure community standards.
- Operate and maintain light utility equipment, hand tools, and trucks safely.
- Assist in storm drain cleaning and infrastructure maintenance projects.
- Respond to emergency service requests and work orders as assigned.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly and perform physical labor in all weather conditions.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power equipment is a plus but not required.
- Reliable transportation to and from work sites.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work independently.
