Responsibilities
- Assist in construction, repair, and maintenance of public infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and parks
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws) and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Perform physical labor including digging, lifting, hauling materials, and debris removal
- Ensure work sites are clean, safe, and compliant with OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with crew members to complete projects on schedule and within budget
- Document work progress and report equipment issues or safety concerns
- Participate in emergency response operations during severe weather events
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Nebraska driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous physical activity
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety protocols
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong teamwork skills and reliable transportation
- Pass pre-employment background check and physical examination
- Previous landscaping/construction experience preferred
