Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including street sweeping, park maintenance, and debris removal
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, pressure washers) under supervision
- Assist in traffic control and flagging during roadwork projects
- Support storm drain cleaning and flood prevention initiatives
- Maintain public facilities including playgrounds and sidewalks
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work zones
- Document work activities and complete daily inspection reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards
- Flexibility to work weekends and early mornings (4-6 AM shifts)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience with hand/power tools preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
