Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including paving, sweeping, and cleaning streets and rights-of-way.
- Assist with snow and ice removal operations during winter storms to ensure public safety.
- Load and unload heavy materials, equipment, and debris from municipal trucks.
- Maintain public parks, drainage ditches, and green spaces as directed by supervisors.
- Operate light utility equipment, such as dump trucks, loaders, and rollers, under close supervision.
- Follow all safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, and company policies to ensure a secure work environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Valid Driver’s License required; Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a strong plus.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is an advantage but not strictly required.
- Must be physically fit and capable of working in various weather conditions.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check.
