Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including snow removal, trash collection, and street sweeping.
- Operate light to medium heavy equipment such as dump trucks, loaders, and sweepers.
- Maintain public parks, sidewalks, and drainage systems to ensure safety and accessibility.
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of public infrastructure and facilities.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic control regulations while on duty.
- Inspect work areas for hazards and report maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Respond to emergency public works calls and weather-related incidents.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50+ pounds repeatedly.
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
