Responsibilities
- Process and organize public records requests with strict confidentiality protocols
- Digitize and maintain physical/digital document archives using county systems
- Verify document authenticity and redact sensitive information per legal guidelines
- Coordinate with county departments for record retrieval and transfers
- Update and maintain records management databases with 99% accuracy
- Assist in training staff on records retention policies
- Generate monthly reports on request volumes and processing times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- 1+ years records management or administrative experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
- Knowledge of California Public Records Act and retention schedules
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to lift 25 lbs occasionally
