Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of federal IT infrastructure and applications.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations, including NIST 800-53 security standards and FISMA requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system improvements and implement scalable solutions.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate cybersecurity threats in a part-time capacity.
- Document system configurations, create technical reports, and maintain detailed technical documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff members on complex federal projects.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT systems administration or cybersecurity.
- Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Compliance: Strong understanding of federal compliance frameworks and ITIL best practices.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
