Responsibilities
- Process and review pension applications and benefit claims with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
- Communicate professionally with retirees, beneficiaries, and stakeholders to clarify pension eligibility and status inquiries.
- Maintain and update secure government records in strict compliance with state regulations and privacy laws.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly reports and data analysis for the State Retirement Board.
- Investigate discrepancies in documentation and resolve them efficiently to prevent processing delays.
- Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless integration of new policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in administrative support, customer service, or government operations.
- Strong understanding of privacy laws, data security protocols, and government compliance standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with government database management systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office setting.
