Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced screening of passengers, baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines and metal detectors
- Monitor security checkpoints to detect prohibited items and potential threats
- Operate complex security technology while maintaining efficient passenger flow
- Enforce TSA regulations with professionalism and de-escalation techniques
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security protocols
- Provide courteous assistance to passengers with special screening needs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background investigation
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds
- Valid state driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency for security systems documentation
- No prior felony convictions or serious misdemeanor offenses
