Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and manual search techniques
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes to ensure passenger eligibility
- Conduct pat-down searches and bag inspections as mandated by TSA protocols
- Operate advanced security technology including EDS and ETD equipment
- Respond to security alerts and escalate suspicious activities to supervisors
- Maintain accurate security logs and documentation
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security regulations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours continuously)
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environments
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
