Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using advanced X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors
- Conduct thorough physical pat-downs and bag inspections to detect prohibited items
- Operate state-of-the-art security technology and maintain equipment functionality
- Provide exceptional customer service to diverse travelers while enforcing security protocols
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security alerts
- Participate in mandatory security training and certification programs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a thorough background investigation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual candidates encouraged)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency for equipment operation and documentation
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure during high-volume screening periods
- No felony convictions and clean drug-free history
