Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using X-ray technology and metal detectors.
- Enforce security regulations and procedures to prevent prohibited items from entering secure areas.
- Patrol checkpoints and monitor surveillance cameras to identify potential security threats.
- Interact professionally with the traveling public, explaining security procedures and resolving issues calmly.
- Operate screening equipment and conduct physical searches when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient and secure checkpoint environment.
- Adhere to all TSA directives, policies, and federal laws regarding transportation security.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship is required for this position.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must pass a background check, drug screen, and medical examination.
- Ability to pass a Vision Test and color perception screening.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift/carry up to 25 pounds.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
