Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' benefit applications (e.g., compensation, pension, education)
- Provide accurate information on federal VA programs and eligibility requirements
- Conduct thorough interviews to document veterans' service-connected disabilities
- Review medical records and supporting documentation for completeness
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and legal teams on complex cases
- Maintain detailed case records in federal systems (VBMS, VBA)
- Ensure strict compliance with 38 CFR and other federal regulations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Associate's degree or 2 years relevant customer service experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive veteran information with discretion
- Basic knowledge of military service periods and VA benefits
- Pass federal background investigation and drug screening
- Valid Michigan driver's license (if field visits required)
