Responsibilities
- Manage pension fund administration including benefit calculations, contributions, and distributions
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and Wisconsin state statutes
- Process weekly payroll for pension recipients and manage payment systems
- Conduct eligibility reviews and provide member education on retirement planning
- Analyze financial data and prepare quarterly/annual reports for stakeholders
- Collaborate with auditors and legal teams for compliance reviews
- Develop and implement process improvements for pension operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or retirement benefits experience
- Proficiency with pension software (e.g., Millennium, PeopleAdmin)
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k)/403(b) regulations, and Wisconsin pension laws
- Certified Public Pension Administrator (CPPA) or SHRM-SCP preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with data analysis capabilities
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion and accuracy
