Responsibilities
- Manage daily pension plan administration including benefit calculations and distributions
- Ensure strict compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and Tennessee state laws
- Prepare comprehensive reports for pension board meetings and financial audits
- Provide responsive member services for retiree inquiries and benefit adjustments
- Monitor investment performance and recommend portfolio optimization strategies
- Develop and maintain accurate participant records in pension management systems
- Collaborate with finance team on budget forecasting and funding strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or benefits management experience
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or similar designation preferred
- Proficiency with pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Northstar)
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and Tennessee pension laws
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with remote flexibility
- Excellent communication skills for complex benefit explanations
