Responsibilities
- Administer defined benefit pension plans for 500,000+ active and retired members
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and disbursements
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and audit requirements
- Develop member communications explaining complex retirement options
- Collaborate with finance teams on actuarial valuations and funding strategies
- Manage pension-related inquiries from members and agency partners
- Implement plan amendments and policy updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years pension administration or retirement plan experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(a), and state pension laws
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and pension administration software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Professional certification (e.g., QKA, ASPA) preferred
- Ability to handle confidential data with utmost discretion
