Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans in accordance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and state laws
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and disbursements
- Manage pension fund investments and monitor financial performance
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Provide guidance to employees on retirement planning and options
- Prepare annual reports and communicate with stakeholders
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and HR teams on policy updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in pension plan administration or benefits management
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or similar designation preferred
- Expertise in ERISA, IRS 401(k)/403(b) regulations, and Louisiana state laws
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, pension software, and data analysis tools
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
