- Administer pension plans ensuring compliance with Florida Statutes and ERISA regulations
- Process retirement applications and calculate benefits with 99.8% accuracy
- Provide expert guidance to retirees on pension options and survivor benefits
- Conduct annual audits to maintain fiduciary integrity and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with investment teams to optimize portfolio performance
- Develop educational materials for state employees on retirement planning
- Manage complex cases involving disability, survivor, and early retirement scenarios
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or benefits management experience
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or ASPPA designation preferred
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, IRC 401(a), and Florida pension regulations
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (Milliman, Alight)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to numerical precision
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder engagement
