Responsibilities
- Manage pension plan administration including benefit calculations, distributions, and record maintenance
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and Illinois pension statutes
- Process retirement applications and provide personalized guidance to beneficiaries
- Conduct plan audits and financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with investment teams to monitor fund performance and risk mitigation
- Develop and implement process improvements for weekend shift operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or benefits management experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k)/403(b) regulations, and Illinois pension laws
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., UltiPro, Benefitfocus)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for complex calculations
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or similar designation preferred
