Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including TSP, FERS, and CSRS with precision and regulatory compliance
- Conduct comprehensive benefit calculations and eligibility determinations for retirement claims
- Develop and deliver educational workshops on retirement planning for federal employees
- Collaborate with legal teams to interpret ERISA and OPM regulations affecting pension operations
- Analyze pension fund performance data and prepare compliance reports for senior leadership
- Provide exceptional customer service to retirees and pre-retirees via phone, email, and in-person consultations
- Lead system upgrades for pension administration software ensuring data integrity and security
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pension plan administration or employee benefits management
- Deep knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS/CSRS), TSP, and OPM regulations
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QKA, or SHRM-SCP) strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, HRIS systems, and pension administration software
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret complex legal and financial documents
- Exceptional communication skills for presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
