Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans and retirement accounts ensuring compliance with ERISA and OPM regulations
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and distribution requests with 99.5% accuracy
- Conduct eligibility verifications for federal employees and military personnel
- Respond to complex pension inquiries from retirees, beneficiaries, and agency representatives
- Maintain secure digital records using SSA's proprietary pension management system
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve pension discrepancies
- Prepare monthly reports on pension fund status and distribution trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years pension administration or retirement plan management experience
- Proficiency in federal benefits software (e.g., eOPF, EBIS)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex regulations
- Weekend availability (Thursday-Sunday 7:30am-4:30pm)
- SSBI security clearance eligibility
- Experience with military/government pension systems preferred
