Responsibilities
- Administer and enforce federal pension plan regulations under ERISA and other relevant statutes
- Conduct comprehensive audits and investigations of pension plans to ensure compliance with federal standards
- Provide expert guidance to employers, plan administrators, and beneficiaries regarding pension plan requirements
- Analyze complex financial data and benefit structures to assess plan solvency and risk exposure
- Represent the agency in legal proceedings, hearings, and regulatory enforcement actions
- Develop educational materials and outreach programs to promote pension plan compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on policy development and regulatory updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pension plan administration, benefits compliance, or regulatory oversight
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and federal pension laws
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data and legal documents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Professional certifications (e.g., CEBS, CRC, or JD) highly desirable
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
