Responsibilities
- Analyze complex multi-employer pension plan financial reports and compliance documentation
- Conduct on-site examinations of plan sponsors to ensure ERISA regulatory adherence
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for underfunded pension plans
- Collaborate with legal teams on enforcement actions and plan terminations
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports for Congressional oversight committees
- Mentor junior analysts on pension actuarial and fiduciary standards
- Represent PBGC at industry conferences and stakeholder forums
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years pension plan administration or regulatory compliance experience
- ERISA and PBGC regulations expertise
- Advanced Excel modeling and SQL database skills
- Series 65 or 63 securities license required
- Strong written communication for regulatory documentation
- Ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Experience with pension actuarial valuation software
