Responsibilities
- Manage and administer federal pension plans in strict compliance with ERISA and OPM regulations
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and disbursements with 99.9% accuracy
- Advise employees on pension options, retirement planning, and tax implications
- Conduct periodic audits of pension records and financial data
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure plan integrity
- Develop training materials for employees on pension benefits
- Stay current on federal pension legislation and regulatory changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (required)
- 5+ years of pension plan administration experience (federal preferred)
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QPA) or willingness to obtain
- Expert knowledge of federal pension regulations (ERISA, TSP, CSRS)
- Advanced proficiency in pension management software and Excel
