Responsibilities
- Administer municipal pension plans ensuring compliance with ERISA and Georgia state regulations
- Prepare actuarial valuations and financial reports for retirement funds
- Manage participant communications, enrollment, and benefit calculations
- Collaborate with auditors and legal counsel on compliance matters
- Analyze investment performance and recommend portfolio adjustments
- Develop retirement education programs for municipal employees
- Maintain accurate participant records using HRIS systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, BenefitFocus)
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and Georgia pension laws
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation
- Advanced Excel skills with financial modeling experience
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
