Responsibilities
- Process and verify pension benefit calculations for retirement applications and adjustments
- Respond to complex member inquiries regarding retirement plans, investment options, and tax implications
- Maintain accurate pension records and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Collaborate with investment and actuarial teams on benefit projection scenarios
- Conduct eligibility reviews for disability and survivor benefit claims
- Prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Train and mentor new specialists on pension administration protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in pension administration or benefits management
- Proficiency in pension-specific software (e.g., Millennium, Oracle Benefits)
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and Georgia pension laws
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours
- FINRA Series 65 or 66 certification preferred
