Responsibilities
- Manage complex pension plan calculations and benefit adjustments for state employees
- Process retirement applications with meticulous attention to detail and compliance
- Provide exceptional member support via secure communication channels during night hours
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in government pension systems
- Collaborate with day-shift teams for seamless operational continuity
- Conduct quality reviews and audits to ensure regulatory adherence
- Respond to urgent member inquiries during overnight coverage windows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or benefits experience
- Proficiency with government pension systems (e.g., PRS, PEIMS) and MS Office
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial data accuracy
- Ability to work independently during night shifts (11 PM - 7 AM EST)
- Knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and Maryland pension statutes
- Excellent written communication skills for member correspondence
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, NIPA) preferred
