Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and empathy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS resources using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Provide pre-arrival emergency medical instructions via EMD protocols
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Monitor radio communications and maintain situational awareness
- Adhere to NENA and NG standards for emergency communications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Ohio driver's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- U.S. citizenship and clean background check
- Ability to pass psychological evaluation and drug screening
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and adaptive learning systems
- Shift flexibility including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
