Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with compassion and precision
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems during high-stress situations
- Coordinate resources between police, fire, and medical services
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Provide critical life-saving instructions to callers during emergencies
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural protocols
- Participate in continuous training programs to enhance skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Clear communication skills (verbal and written)
- Typing proficiency of 40+ WPM
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy with willingness to learn specialized systems
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
- Must be 18+ years old
