Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage at security checkpoints using advanced technology
- Conduct pat-down searches and baggage inspections to detect prohibited items
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive detection systems
- Monitor security activities in airport terminals and report suspicious behavior
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents and screening activities
- Provide customer service assistance to travelers during security screening
- Adhere to TSA policies, procedures, and security protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
- Pass thorough background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- No felony convictions or pending criminal charges
- Must obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
