Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls for police, fire, and EMS services
- Dispatch appropriate units using CAD systems and radio communication
- Remain calm under pressure while gathering critical incident information
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and activities
- Coordinate with other agencies during multi-jurisdictional incidents
- Complete 12-week intensive academy training program
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- No prior dispatch experience required – we train you!
- Ability to type 30+ WPM (typing test provided)
- Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and make sound decisions under stress
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the US
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new technology
