Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) and radio communication systems
- Coordinate field units during critical incidents
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers in crisis
- Maintain accurate incident documentation
- Adhere to NIMS protocols and departmental procedures
- Collaborate with cross-agency partners during multi-jurisdictional events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Basic computer proficiency (40+ WPM typing preferred)
- Clear criminal background check
- Valid California driver's license
- Pass medical/psychological evaluations
