Responsibilities
- Receive and triage emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD systems
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS resources with precise location data
- Maintain real-time communication with field units during critical incidents
- Operate radio systems and maintain detailed incident logs
- Provide critical information to responding officers and agencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during large-scale emergencies
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- U.S. citizenship and DC residency required
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Pass background check, polygraph, and medical evaluation
- Exceptional verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to multitask under extreme pressure
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows, typing 40+ WPM)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
