Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate radio communications during emergencies
- Perform multi-tasking under pressure while documenting critical incident data
- Coordinate resources during major city events and disasters
- Adhere to all NIMS and PA emergency protocols
- Train on advanced technologies including GIS mapping and mobile data terminals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- US citizenship and Pennsylvania residency
- Pass criminal background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm during critical incidents
- Basic computer proficiency with MS Office Suite
- No history of domestic violence or substance abuse
