Responsibilities
- Receive, prioritize, and dispatch emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD systems
- Operate radio equipment and maintain detailed call logs
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during critical incidents
- Provide clear instructions to callers during emergencies
- Monitor surveillance feeds and alarm systems
- Utilize GPS mapping for efficient resource deployment
- Adhere to NIMS protocols and department procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Minimum 40 WPM typing certification
- Pass background check, polygraph, and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating shifts (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Proficient in multitasking under high-pressure situations
- Basic computer literacy and technical aptitude
- Must be 21+ years old (per state requirements)
