Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police officers, fire units, and emergency medical services with precision
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Utilize CAD systems and radio equipment to coordinate multi-agency responses
- Provide critical information to first responders during active incidents
- Remain calm and professional during high-stress emergency situations
- Adhere to all department policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum age 18 at time of application
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM)
- Exceptional verbal communication and active listening abilities
- Ability to multitask and make sound decisions under pressure
- No felony convictions and clean driving record
- Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work
