Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency calls, dispatching appropriate units to incidents
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment
- Provide critical information to first responders during emergency situations
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all communications and activities
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Remain calm and professional under high-pressure scenarios
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance emergency response protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and make quick decisions in high-stress environments
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn specialized systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Nevada driver's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
