Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls using CAD/RAD systems
- Coordinate with officers, firefighters, and medical personnel during incidents
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all communications
- Provide critical information to field units using established protocols
- Remain calm under pressure during high-stress emergency situations
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and specialized emergency equipment
- Assist in training new dispatchers upon program completion
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Strong multitasking and decision-making skills
- Clear verbal communication in English and basic Hawaiian/Pidgin
- Experience with computer systems and data entry
- Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the US
- Valid driver's license with clean record preferred
