Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and composure
- Operate radio systems to coordinate field units during critical incidents
- Enter and maintain critical data in CAD systems with precision
- Provide clear instructions to callers during medical/fire/police emergencies
- Multi-task between multiple communication channels during high-pressure situations
- Adhere to all FCC regulations and departmental protocols
- Complete all mandated training modules within designated timeframe
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum 18 years of age (21 for sworn positions post-training)
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Clear criminal background and drug-free record
- Ability to pass hearing/vision and psychological evaluations
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean driving history
- US citizenship or permanent residency status
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
