Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units via CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Provide critical information to first responders during emergencies
- Operate radio equipment and multi-line telephone systems
- Remain calm under pressure during high-stress situations
- Adhere to all NJ State Police and department protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (college preferred)
- Valid NJ driver's license (or ability to obtain)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (verified assessment required)
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be 18+ and a US citizen
- No criminal record (felony convictions disqualify)
