Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism and accuracy
- Dispatch police units using CAD systems during critical incidents
- Enter and maintain detailed incident reports in RMS databases
- Coordinate with multiple agencies (fire, EMS) during multi-jurisdictional events
- Monitor radio communications and ensure officer safety protocols
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers in emergency situations
- Maintain situational awareness during high-stress scenarios
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer-aided dispatch systems
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Valid Kentucky driver's license
- US citizenship or legal resident status
- No felony convictions
