Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with empathy and professionalism
- Dispatch appropriate emergency services (police, fire, EMS) to incident locations
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment
- Maintain accurate incident logs and documentation
- Provide critical information to responding officers and first responders
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required)
- Must be 18 years or older with US citizenship
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong typing skills (40+ WPM preferred)
- Exceptional communication and multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
- Basic computer proficiency and technical aptitude
