Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism and precision
- Operate multi-line telephone systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software
- Coordinate resources between police, fire, and medical services during emergencies
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all communications
- Provide critical information to field units and the public
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and departmental procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Proficient in computer systems and typing (minimum 35 WPM)
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanor offenses
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
