Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and compassion
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD systems
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Provide life-saving instructions via phone during emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Operate radio equipment and maintain constant communication protocols
- Adhere to all federal, state, and departmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Minimum typing speed of 35 WPM (tested during interview)
- Strong multitasking and decision-making abilities
- Clear communication skills in English (bilingual a plus)
- Basic computer proficiency with MS Office applications
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
- Must reside in Florida at time of application
