Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism and empathy
- Operate radio systems to coordinate field units during critical incidents
- Enter and maintain accurate information in CAD/RMS systems
- Multi-task between phone, radio, and computer systems during high-pressure situations
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers during emergencies
- Complete detailed documentation of all communications
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass background investigation and polygraph examination
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM)
- Exceptional communication and listening abilities
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn specialized software
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- Valid California driver's license
