Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism and empathy
- Accurately document incident details and caller information
- Dispatch appropriate police units and emergency services
- Maintain radio communication with field personnel
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
- Adhere to department protocols and confidentiality standards
- Multi-task during high-pressure situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- No prior dispatch or law enforcement experience required
- Ability to type 35+ WPM (will be tested)
- Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Must be 18+ years old and a US citizen
- Basic computer proficiency
