Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls for police, fire, and medical services
- Dispatch appropriate units using CAD/RMS systems while maintaining calm communication
- Monitor radio channels and relay critical information to field personnel
- Maintain accurate call logs and documentation per department protocols
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Collaborate with other agencies during multi-jurisdictional incidents
- Operate multiple communication systems simultaneously under pressure
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM (verified by test)
- Strong multitasking and de-escalation skills
- US citizenship and valid Nevada driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends/holidays
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and computerized systems
- Clear speaking voice and excellent comprehension skills
