Responsibilities
- Answer and triage emergency/non-emergency calls using multi-line systems
- Dispatch police units via CAD systems with precise location/time details
- Monitor radio communications and maintain contact with field personnel
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions during critical incidents
- Enter/retrieve data from NCIC and state databases
- Document all communications accurately per department protocols
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major emergencies
- Maintain situational awareness during high-pressure situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum 30 WPM typing speed with 95% accuracy
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Clear verbal communication skills in English (bilingual a plus)
- Flexible availability for rotating shifts/nights/weekends
- U.S. citizenship with clean background check
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows OS
