Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police units using CAD systems and radio communications
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via EMD protocols
- Maintain accurate call logs and documentation in compliance with state regulations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Monitor surveillance systems and alarm activations
- Perform data entry and record management duties
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 18 years of age at time of hire
- U.S. citizenship and valid Minnesota driver's license
- Pass criminal background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Ability to pass hearing/vision examinations
- Basic computer proficiency and multitasking aptitude
- No felony convictions or domestic violence restraining orders
